CHANGELOG

What's new in Tomato

Written by hand when a release is worth telling you about. Tomato updates itself, so you usually don't need to do anything.

NEXT Merged, not yet released

Coming in the next release

  • Smaller updates: Tomato downloads only the parts of the app that changed.
  • Add a line of context to each project, so summaries know what the project is for.
  • The time-recorded figure in the menu bar panel is accurate again.

0.6.0

October 7, 2026
  • Tomato can start when you log in. It asks once during setup, and you can change it in Settings.

0.5.2

October 6, 2026
  • Over-the-air updates install again. 0.5.1 downloaded but never installed.

0.5.1

October 6, 2026
  • Tomato's saved data loads again. In 0.5.0 projects and a saved pause did not load.

0.5.0

October 6, 2026
  • Over-the-air updates. Tomato checks for a new version, downloads it quietly, and offers Restart to update.
  • Tomato MCP. Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients can read your recorded day on your Mac, even while recording is paused.
On Tomato 0.4.0 or earlier? Download once more โ€” after that, updates install themselves.
